My Moto!^^

I'm so happy today...^^ why? because, I was able to buy my "dream phone"! Me and my aunt went to the mall (SM North Edsa). And she helped me buy a new cellphone! Its not that expensive... Actually, its a budget friendly phone... it has a camera and I like it because it has MP3 and other cool functions. The brand is Motorola. The sales person said that its made in Hungary. I gave my old phone to my aunt... its still ok coz' it has a WAP and the brand is famous here -Nokia.
Tomorrow, another hectic day!... anyway... I must have long patience again!
I'll really have a good night!^^

Hectic day...

Today's been a busy day for me... Most of my pernmanent students are kids... (Mabuti na lang at lumipat na iyong 1 estudyante ko na sobrang demanding! ha!ha! Wala na akong sakit ng ulo!^^) Its quite tiring... and you know how young children are... wah! T.T Anwyay, its ok, since I consider them "my little angels". My little student whose name is "Sam" is really very cute. The one in charge of our schedule & the one who handles the distribution of students to all the teachers, talked to me this late afternoon. He told me that I should buy some goodies for Sam and that I should take him for a walk because, he's easily bored. Tomorrow, I'll buy another sweets for Sam.
Sandara Park, the famous Korean actress here in Philippine showbiz, had a shooting in our English center, most Koreans came rushing to see what's the commotion all about. Even, us teachers also rushed outside to see this "cute" Korean actress.
Another long and hectic day tomorrow!... still waiting for my prince charming...

Wonderful day!^^

I just got home... quite tired... I've new students today.^^ I like my student in the afternoon... why? because, he's a very cute kid, like a little angel (I guess he's 4 yrs. old)!^^ He's good and he's very cooperative! I'm looking forward on our class tom.
This late afternoon, Richard, the brother of my Korean student... (I don't know his Korean name) foretold my future... (that's according to fortune-telling - Palmistry). The results... He told me that my future husband isn't good-looking (its ok. as long as he has a good character, he loves me & he's loyal to me) he told me that I'll not be rich and that I'll have 2 children...^^ I want my child to be really cute... I wish his father has a nice cute eyes^^... I wonder where's my prince charming now?... ha!ha! I hope he'd find me soon!...
Anyway, hoping for more blessings to come!...

I'm lovin this way of life...

Whew! It’s been quite awhile… I need to update all my dear readers about what’s happenin’ on my “busy” life now ha!ha!^^
I’m happy with the company that I’m working for now… My Korean employer is very kind to us… Today he taught us the right way to pronounce some English words… I admire him because, he has concern for his employees!^^ (when it comes to foreign employers, this is rare). Also, our salary is good… reasonable… and I’m proud of this English center because it’s accredited by the Philippine government. Also, my schedule is almost full.^^ I’ve been quite busy this week. Last week, my new student and I went out and dined at a nearby mall. I’m still continuing my home study program (connected with the U.S home study system), I want to be real good English teacher.
Also, my composition (thoughts about Korea & its people, my experiences) is now the cover story at PRKOREA TIMES. What else?>… We have a 3 day break coz’ on Monday its “All Saints Day.” Looking forward to a brighter day, always!…
My favorite song now… Ochomyon… my student corrected the romanization (lyrics). I sing it most of the time… and I love listening to it!…
I’m gonna miss my Korean kid student… His English name is Carlo… He gave me an artwork souvenir of his…
I bought Korean-naengmyon~ noodles (yum!) and Choco pie… turning Korean again^^ ha!ha!
I’m lovin’ this way of life

Am I IN or OUT?...

Yesterday, I went to a recruitment agency. They are in need of Customer Care Officers (based on the malls). I took an essay test (which I passed^^), after that the HR personnel interviewed me. My papers will be forwarded to the employer and the company is well-known in the Philippines. She told me that I should wait for 2 weeks for the employer's call. If they will not call me the HR team would look for another position for me. I just hope my waiting will turn out right... I need this job for my future...

National Day of Korea!

I've read on the local newspaper that today is the National Day of Korea. (4337th Foundation Day of Korea). I also want to say to the Korean people, readers of my blog and to their government, Republic of Korea Congratulations on their Foundation Day!.

Our president, Her Excellency, Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, also addressed a letter to the Republic of Korea, congratulating them on their National day. According to her letter, she said that this day "Mark the special friendship and cooperation between our two countries, which are both moving towards the future with greater clarity of shared goals and aspirations". She ended the letter by saying, "I have reason to believe that the close partnership between our two peoples will reach even higher levels of friendship and cooperation in the future.

On the same local newspaper another nice letter was addressed by the Ambassador of Korea, Mr. Yu Myung-Hwan to the Philippines.

The past 40 years of economic development in Korea demonstrates its capacity for dynamic change. Korea has set a new course that will capitalize on this inner dynamism to usher in a new era of change and oppurtunity. - source: Philippine Daily Inquirer Special Project section. Sale at the Mall

Just arrived...(quite tired) me and my aunt went shopping. I bought an original Korean vcd movie, the title is Acacia. Maybe, tomorrow I will make a movie review about it. I also bought a new shirt and a badminton set.

Later, we will go to church to attend the anticipated Sunday mass. After posting this, gonna check my email. I hope my Korean friends already answered my email.^^

A day with my friends

This afternoon I went to my former co-teacher's house to meet my friends and former co-teachers. My friend July wants to borrow my Korean vcd's, so I copied the Korean movie Donggam for her. Sad to say only the first part was copied since, my brother is having a hard time "burning" the cd. I also gave Eileen the souvenirs from our student. She's so happy to receive it. Cherrie is still the same... still so talkative and very energetic...
Honestly, I didn't feel like meeting them... its not that I don't want to see them, but I just want to stay at home and listen to cd player and spend my whole day with the computer. >my constant date! ha!ha!

Tomorrow, I will go to the mall to pay for my tuition (International Correspondence School) at the bank (Yehey! I'm going to graduate soon-home study Effective English course!)

My Composition

I've updated my writings at PRKOREA. My online friend who is also a member of VANK (voluntary agency network of Korea), was the first one to read my writings. I emailed to him my first draft, he said it was ok. I just edited some parts and now you can see my work by visiting this site.

I don't like it!

Today, I went to a telecommunications company, (My brother was the one who referred me to this company) I didn't send my resume to this company, but since my brother recommended me I was scheduled for an exam. The HR personnel briefed us about the nature of our job (Call Center Representative). I know that I will not push through with my application because, I don't like working on a night shift (we usually call it graveyard shift). I passed the oral exam and I know its a shame if I didn't pass the test. I told the interviewer that I will quit my application, so here am I. Back home again...

Anyway, this coming winter vacation my acquiantance from another English center will inform me if they're hiring... planning to go back, teach again...^^

I believe...

I believe OST- My Sassy Girl
KoreanLyrics

I believe... When you are not with me there are no stars in the sky.
I believe... The way back to you will feel a little far.
I'll carry all those memories deep inside me.
I'll feel pain, it'll make tears fall.
When I won't cry you will leave me
With no change and no tears.
Someday again the tears will come around
You know it

I'll believe that you are waiting.
I do it for you.
I believe... It'll hurt me to see, you can't cry.
I believe... My tears will fall, you should turn back to me again.

Again I'll glimpse you come into my sight
And it'll make my tears fall.
When I won't cry you will leave me
With no change and no tears.
Someday again the tears will come around
You know it
I'll believe that you are waiting.
I do it for you.

Before I knew you, the world was dazzling.
From that sky I got left with tears.
I will care for that person.
You are the only reason...
To me the wait gives me enough happiness.
Love is the only reason...
As days pass by,
If you forget the way, I'll be waiting
I do it for you.
I do it for you.

CHUGULE?!~~

My former student taught me this word. I will never forget the Korean words that he always say to me... mind you!... it's not a nice Korean word...ha!ha! I'd say its a favorite line of Jeon Ji Hyun in the Korean movie MY SASSY GIRL ~CHUGULE?! (wanna die?) and just last month I learned another word ~TAKTEKARI. (I forgot the exact meaning, but I think its similar to "bird brain").

Why bluelei?

To all the readers of my blog and to those wondering why is the title of my blog named bluelei. It's simply because,
BLUE - is my favorite color. (powder blue, sky blue and navy blue)
LEI - I just shortened my nickname LEAH into LEI
So that answers your query...^^
~Anyong!

Enjoy life!^^

I feel good today! I've realized that it's up to me... if I want to be happy I can be happy! I don't want to sulk all day and feel sorry for myself... I've realized that there are many beautifull things and I should be thankful on the things that I have... Right now, I'm listening to the theme song of The Classic It's one of my favorite Korean song...^^ I got the translation from KoreanLyrics (great site! check it out many Korean lyrics)

OST > The Classic > translation
No-ege Nan, Na-ege No (I am yours, You are mine)

I am yours, like the sun which sets
The beautiful memories are all from one place
Precious memories of the naive days together
Woo- they remain as a picture which has no regrets

You are mine and make the lonely times pass
You are the sunlight which shines on me
Your small white hand in mine
Like the sparkle of a jewel it makes the promise of eternity

You are mine, like a sad graduation song
You are still a small part of this hear tof mine
Your beauty glitters in your eyes
Like so many stars I hope you will always shine

Live

Here is the lyrics, one of my favorite songs, sang by Celine Dion. I really like the lyrics... This song really describes what I want to say and what I've always believe in... Love moves me and its the reason why I survive...

Live

A million stars light
This beautiful night
This is not a night to die
Let me sing and dance
Beneath the sky
I have such love to give. To give!
I want a chance to live.
Live, For the one I love.
Love, As no one has loved.
Give, asking nothing in return.
Free, free to find my way
Free to have my say
Free to see the day
Be, like I used to be
Like a wild bird free
with all of life in me

Though this world tear us apart
We're still together in my heart
I want the world to hear my cry
And even if I have to die
Love will not die
Love will change the world

I'll love until love wears me away
I'll die and I know love will stay
And I know my love will stay

If I Ain't Got You...

This is the female song counterpart of Sisqo's Incomplete. It has good lyrics and beat. Cool! This is oh! so true! If you have everything, money, fame etc. If you don't have someone to love, life isn't complete. Life is nothing without love... ha!ha! am I too mushy, corny, whatever! just hopelessly romantic!...

IF I AIN'T GOT YOU

Some people live for the fortune
Some people live just for the fame
Some people live for the power yeah
Some people live just to play the game
Some people think that the physical things
Define what's within
And I've been there before
But that life's a bore
So full of the superficial

Some people want it all
But I don't want nothing at all
If it ain't you baby
If I ain't got you baby
Some people want diamond rings
Some just want everything
But everything means nothing
If I ain't got you

Some people search for a fountain
The promises forever young
Some people need three dozen roses
And that's the only way to prove you love them

Hand me a world on a silver platter
And what good would it be?
With no one to share, with no one who truly cares for me

Some people want it all
But I don't want nothing at all
If it ain't you baby
If I ain't got you baby
Some people want diamond rings
Some just want everything
But everything means nothing
If I ain't got you, you, you

Some people want it all
But I don't want nothing at all
If it ain't you baby
If I ain't got you baby

Some people want diamond rings
Some just want everything
But everything means nothing
If I ain't got you

If I ain't got you with me baby
Nothing in this whole wide world don't mean a thing
If I ain't got you with me baby

Incomplete...

Incomplete... yes, that's what I feel especially now... I can't help but wonder and ask myself why others have somebody to call their own while until now I'm alone... Didn't get what I mean?...

Life is lonely and incomplete, if you don't have someone to share it with...

Anyone here who knows the song INCOMPLETE by Sisqo? also, there's another nice song that women like me can relate to. If I Ain't Got You (Alicia Keys). Even if you have everything in the world, wealth, fame & success, that doesn't mean anything if you don't have someone... someone who loves you and someone you love! For me, I'll accept him for what he is, like I've said before money is not an issue to me, as long as he's hardworking, I know we can go on.

Me in the kitchen...

Today, I made Gye ran mal ee, Rolled egg. (appetizer) Its not that perfect since, it doesn't look like a rolled egg. It looks like a regular omelette! I let my aunt judge it and she says its good!^^ We ate that for lunch. My real plan for today is to cook Pa Jeon - spring onions pancake. My ingredients aren't complete so I've decided to make Gye ran mal ee. Next time, I plan to make another Korean dish...

Have you ever...

Have you ever liked or loved someone, without letting that person know what you really feel? I think it's really hard for a person to keep his/her true feelings, specially if he/she liked that person so much. Before, I’ve experienced hiding my feelings to myself and its really hard.

Can love make you a foolish person? Is love really blind? I may not know the real answers to this question but one thing is for sure… All of us will experience love.

Its better to love and lost, than to never love at all…

Filipino version: Autumn in My Heart theme song
IKAW
YOU
*Dinggin mo ang tibok ng puso ko
*Answer to the beat of my heart
Umaawit sa iyo
Singing to you
Damhin mo ang pintig
Feel the beat
Bawat himig ay para sa iyo
Each melody is for you

Masdan mo ang ngiti sa labi ko
Look at the smile on my lips
Inaalay ko sa iyo
I offer to you
Pangako ko sa iyo
My promise to you
Hinding-hindi ka sasaktan
I will never ever hurt you

~Sa umaga at gabi,
~in the morning and evening,
Sa bawat oras
every hour
Ikaw ang nasa isip ko
You are on my mind
Sa lungkot at ligaya,
In sadness and happiness,
Hirap at ginhawa
For worse and for better
Tayo ay magsasama
We will be together

Ikaw ang nais ko
You are the one I want
Ikaw ang inaasam
You’re the one I’m wishing for
Sana’y paniwalaan mo
Hope that you’ll believe
Hindi ka na luluha
You’ll never cry again
Bawat oras ay saya
Every hour is happiness
Ihahandog sa iyo
I offer to you
Puso ko at kaluluwa
My heart and soul
Ikaw lang ang buhay ko
You are my life
Ikaw lamang mahal ko
Only you, my love

*not so sure about the meaning of the word Dinggin it’s an old Filipino word. We, the younger generation rarely use it.

One Fine Day

Today, me and my aunt went to the mall. She bought some vcd’s (her favorite classic movies like Mary Poppins etc. I bought some videoke cd’s Carpenters and my favorite Korean videoke Endless Love – Autumn & Winter love story. The lyrics of the songs were changed in “Tagalog”-Filipino language. The MTV is really nice, I never get tired of watching it, I’m wishing that one day I’ll experience ”Kyoul”. (Korean word for “winter”). I also bought the needed ingredients for my pancake. Tomorrow, I will cook Pa Jeon (spring onions pancake). I'm really eager to learn how to cook Korean dishes. I just hope it'll turn out right!^^

Song of the moment...

There are times we feel blue and it feels like the weight of the world is on our shoulders... I've experienced that many times and one reason what keeps me going is my faith in God.

Let me share this 2 songs, one a nice Christian song sang by Don Moen.

God Will Make a Way
~God will make a way,
Where there seems to be no way.
He works in ways,
We cannot see,
He will make a way for me.
He will be my guide,
Hold me closely to His side.
With love and strength,
For each new day,
He will make a way,
He will make a way.

By a roadway in the wilderness He leads me.
Rivers in the desert will I see.
Heaven and earth will fade,
But His Words will remain.
He will do, something new today.

Another song by Stevie Wonder. dream on...

Overjoyed
~Over time, I've building my castle of love
Just for two, though you never knew you were my reason
I've gone much too far for you now to say
That I've got to throw my castle away

Over dreams, I have picked out a perfect come true
Though you never knew it was of you I've been dreaming
The sandman has come from too far away
For you to say come back some other day

And though you don't believe that they do
They do come true
For did my dreams
Come true when I looked at you
And maybe too, if you would believe
You too might be
Overjoyed, over loved, over me

Over hearts, I have painfully turned every stone
Just to find, I had found what I've searched to discover
I've come much too far for me now to find
The love that I've sought can never be mine

And though you don't believe that they do
They do come true
For did my dreams
Come true when I looked at you
And maybe too, if you would believe
You too might be
Overjoyed, over loved, over me

And though the odds say improbable
What do they know
For in romance
All true love needs is a chance
And maybe with a chance you will find
You too like I
Overjoyed, over loved, over you, over you

My country: PHILIPPINES!

Maybe, you’re all wondering, why I keep on talking about other country and I’m not mentioning anything about my country. Now is the time for me to tell you all about my beautiful country and its friendly and musical people. Why musical people? Because, we Filipinos love to sing and our artists are well known throughout the world. Like Lea Salonga, (Tony awardee for the Broadway Musical play “Ms.Saigon) RegineVelasquez, had a chance to workwith Paul Anka, David H. of Baywatch tv series & Jackie Cheung (Asia’s songbird). In other countries Filipino bands are also sought for. What else?… Since, I’m a Filipina I’m going to enumerate all the good qualities that we Filipinas have. We’re known to be loving, caring, specially towards their own family, to their husband and children. I don’t say all Filipinas are like that most of them only. Filipinas are also beautiful (I'm talking about their character, personality and appearance) Also, about the Filipinos, we’re known to be hospitable and friendly people. Maybe, foreigners who are reading this blog of mine can attest to that.

Our country have beautiful beaches like Boracay, known for its white sand. Some foreigners might have a negative impression of the Philippines now, because, of the news about the “terrorists” here. I can say that the government is doing something to that problem. We are aware that there is no safe country and place nowadays. Still, there are many foreigners coming to my country. I guess, we still have a charm after all.

Trip Abroad

I had a chance to go out of the country before. That was when I went to Hong Kong, summer of 1999 for a tour. My cousins and relatives already had a chance to go there and I’m glad my turn came. I went there with my 2 aunts. We stayed at B.P International hotel. If I’m not mistaken that hotel is near Kowloon Park. And in front of our hotel is the Fat Nam restaurant. Our tour was 3 days and 2 nights only, but I can say it’s a memorable one.

Now, I hope that I can visit Korea. I fell in love with the beautiful scenery that I’ve seen in their movies and series. I want to meet more Korean people and see my former students and friends there.

Music

I like listening to local ballad & pop music. Sometimes, I also listen to classical music (depends on my mood). I also listen to Chinese and Korean music.^^ Here are the lists of Chinese singers that I listen to, William So, Leon Lai, Richie Ren, Coco Lee and VivianChow. I can also sing some Chinese songs (studied a little Chinese before...). I love the Gorgeous theme song.^^ Among the Korean singers, I listen to Hwee Sung, Shin Mina, Tei and S.E.S.(first Korean group that I've listened to)^^. I also like the theme song of The Classic.

Romantic Movies and TV Series

I love watching romantic movies, Hollywood and Asian films. Among the Asian movies that I've seen, First I'll enumerate the Chinese films. I like the TheRoadHome, click on the link for more info. Gorgeous. Among the Chinese/Taiwanese series, I like Lavender, there's a little similarity to the Korean hit series AutumnLoveStory. Among the Korean movies, The Classic, goes on top of my list. Followed by, MySassyGirl!, MyTutorFriend, and my forever favorite, WinterLoveStory. Why do I like watching romantic movies? maybe, because, I'm a romantic person also. I've always believed in fate & destiny. That one day, I'll find the man that's meant for me... Let me quote a nice line from the Winter Love Song series...

Polaris
"Polaris never moves to other places even other asterism is changeable. Allow me to be your Polaris".

Not So Busy...

Yesterday, we went to Ortigas again. We took the test and we got a passing grade. (much higher than 50%). Anyway, the office personnel told us to come back again after 3 months. We’ll try to apply again in some companies… maybe, that job isn’t meant for the 3 of us. What keeps me busy nowadays? Aside, from updating this wonderful blog of mine, I’m continuing my Effective English HomeStudy program.

Job hunting

Yesterday, me and my friends went to Ortigas, a nice industrial place like Makati. We went there to apply for a job. First stop, we tried looking for a call center company named "Asiatech", but couldn't find it. So, we headed to another building and applied to the company that we saw in the newspaper ad. The company was owned by a Korean and if ever we'll be accepted we are going to teach Koreans online. We'll go back there this coming Friday to take the exam. Suppose to be, were going to Starmall to see the exhibit, my co-teacher before at TOP, Roger, told me that the exhibit is about Korean stone exhibit. Also, CHUSUK will be celebrated this month. For more info. Click on the CHUSUK link below!

The Classic

I've watched some Korean movies before, mostly love stories. I've seen a Korean horror movie just once, 'A Tale of Two Sisters'. Its just so-so. The Classic is my most favorite film.

"When the sun shines on the sea, I think of you. When the dim moonlight is on the spring, I think of you."~

Close to my heart...

Interests that are close to my heart,^^
Before, I'm so much interested in Chinese culture (asking me why? because, I think Chinese culture is rich in tradition, interesting..., the Chinese has shared many things to the Filipino culture. There are a number of Chinese people here in the Philippines, some of them dominate the business world and politics also.), I even studied Basic Mandarin at Languages Internationale, a good language school here in Quezon City, Philippines. Check out the link they're offering computer studies now.

http://www.prweb.com/releases/2003/4/prweb63207.php

I also have a collection of Chinese cd's, cassete tapes and vcd's (movies). Also, I collect all articles if it has a connection with the Chinese culture & tradition. And I almost landed a job at a Filipino-Chinese historical museum but I didn't attend the orientation. (personal reasons~). I think I'm through with this phase, same with the hype of Taiwanese series being shown here. Time to move on...

Right now, I'm into learning and still, discovering the beauty of Korean culture.^^ I admit that its really close to my heart now... I had a chance to work in an English Center here, near the village where my aunt lives, Quezon City, Philippines.

I started working there Jan until Aug 2004. My students are of course, Koreans and at first I had to adjust, since Its my first time to know and mingle with Korean people. Overall, I enjoyed my stay there. Coming up-- more stories from me...

Winter Sonata picture

Maybe, you're all wondering why I used the Winter Sonata picture... obviously, its my favorite Korean tv series, I like Bae Yong Jun, he's so cute!^^ Also, I like the story. I also love the soundtrack and I even have its cd. I even learned to sing the theme song in Korean! We even have a Filipino version of that song. Here is the lyrics w/ english translation.

'Di ko kaya I Cannot

Di ko na kaya pang itago
I can't hide any longer
ang nararamdaman sa iyo
My feelings for you
Umaasang ikaw sana ay mayakap
Hoping that I can embrace you

Di ko na kaya pang ilihim
I can't conceal anymore
nasasaktan lang ako
I'm just hurting
Sa aking pag-iisa hinahanap ka
In my solitude I seek you

Di ko kailangan ng kayamanan
I don't need any treasures (wealth)
Puso mo ang tangi kong inaasam
Your heart is the only one I long for
Di ko kayang ikaw ay malayo,
I can't bear that you be far from me
mawalay ka sa piling ko
and be separated from me
Sana ay ikaw ang kapalaran
Hoping that you are my destiny
Sa bawat araw ay aking mahahagkan
Each day mine to kiss
Habang ang buhay ko ay narito
As long as my life is here
Handa kong ibigay sa iyo
I'm ready to give to you

*Kay sarap damhin, ng tunay na pagmamahal
It good to feel, this true love

Suppose to be its this year but there's a problem....T.T Maybe, my friends are right, I should not hurry up and rush into things.
