New Room

Room 7... that's my room assignment now. Yeah, there's a window... then a veranda... So here's the shots. Cute CARE BEARS, inside my room... and the former occupant of the room was T.Arieta. So there's a paper origami design.

And finally, I went to the salon yesterday. T.Daphne accompanied me. So after 2 hours of waiting, got my new hair color and hot oil treatment. It's ok to pamper myself once in awhile.

Monday blues

Yup, its Monday again! And... back to work again... Oh! my! I've got good greetings from my fellow co-teachers. And of course, because I wore colored contact lenses this time... got good reviews about that. Well... except for my buddy... she said that its ugly and that I should color my hair for it to complement the color of my eyes (its green). Actually, I don't like that color... but they don't have hazel brown so I chose the green one... I think gray is much better coz' I wore that before. Anyway, I moved in another room. (room 7). It's ok. No rug -- I don't like carpeted place coz' it can trigger allergies. I bought all my roommates, drinks... 'Sola' iced tea. They are teasing me to treat them.. So I did! Anyway, they're all ok. So its fine with me. Maybe, tomorrow I'll color my hair... maybe...

Well, this song's been running on my mind lately... back to you It always comes around back to you... still life goes on and on... I've had my vacation leave... got sick with the flu... But this week I'll go back to work after a 2 week vacation... happy because of my fellow teachers and former students comment on our school's website.

I was like a kid again... enjoyed watching cartoons... ha!ha! not bad...we're all young at heart! One of my fave cartoon now is CHALKZONE. Everything that the lead character draws it becomes real in the "chalk world." And I like the blue character that he created. So cool!

I also like Mr.Bean without even trying hard, he's so funny! You love him and you hate him at the same time!!!

And the return of Wonder Woman, wow! Lynda Carter's really beautiful!!! I like this show. (even if its old). Other shows that I like...

In Korea?...

Is this in Korea?... Hmm... these signs are eye-catching for the locals. Can be considered as an artwork or design. At first glance, you may think that this is in Korea. Ok, so the answer to my question is "no". It's in the Philippines.ㅋㅋ If you can read Korean and know some words, you might understand the meaning of these "signs". I only know basic Korean, so I can help out a bit in translating... 한빛 여행사, maybe Korean travel agency (han-ex.hanguk and the word haeng.. like the word airplane in Korean - pihaengi). 서울 김밥, a lot easier to understand than the first one. Common sense, this is a restaurant. Because, of the word kimbap. Seoul of course, is the capital city of Korea. I'll do a food review of this restaurant, 서울 김밥, soon.

Dolphin Legend

A long, long time ago, the son of a God in the Heavens violated a spiritual law within the Heavenly World by falling in love with a maiden in the Human World. Not being able to stay in the Spiritual World or the Human World, the two of them traveled all around, but still couldn't find a place where they could stay. There was only the fairy queen that lived within the deepest part of the forest that sympathizes with their plight and gave this pair of lovers a spiritual copper charm. This spiritual copper charm protected them when they traveled across the ocean. However, the God of Envy discovered the secret behind the copper charm, took it away and threw it into the ocean. For this reason, the pair of lovers that lost the protection of the copper charm was dashed loose by the big waves. Even if that was the case, they both still continued searching for one another until the last minute.

When dawn arrives, seeing that the two of them will soon be changed into foam, this love was very touching to the kind-hearted dolphin, and at the moment of daybreak, the dolphin jumped out of the ocean carrying the copper charm in its mouth, allowing this pair of lovers to once again possess the blessing from the fairy queen so that they can be together again. At the moment when the first ray of sunlight shines on the white sandy beach, the whole beach was washed with a happy pinkish color and the dolphin also jumped high up to the sky, becoming the symbol for protecting love. Got this cool song from a fan of 王力宏. Flower Fault 花田错, from his Heroes of the Earth album. His current album is really doing well. I've heard that this song is really popular in Taiwan, almost everyone knows it. Lee Hong Wang had a duet before with Lara Fabian, they did the love ballad Light of My Life. This song is a mixture of Chinese classical music (reminds me of Jackie Chan singing a similar tune in one of his movies before - The Making of Gorgeous) entwined with R & B and rap. Mix them all together and voila! You've got the sound of 王力宏. Another talented, Asian artist.

편지 (Letter)

My student wrote a letter to me. It's really touching!^^ He's happy because 유나 (Helen) gave her a ring.ㅋAnd he said that I should buy a gift for Helen, he said that it's ok if he will not get a gift from me just as long as I buy a gift for Helen. Talk about sacrifice!ㅎㅎAnyway, its just a phase, they'll get over this puppy love thing (young love) someday.ㅋ Ok so much so for the intro. Here's the content of the letter.

Last Day of the Mission Kids

It's the last day of the Mission Kids. Why mission kids? Because they're Christians. Their church in Korea has a branch (chapter) here. Time really flies! Of course, my students has grown dear to me. But that's the way it is, we need to part ways. Since, it's their last day. We had a small party. My student and Teacher Lala's student went to the TOEIC room for a small gathering. We bought sandwiches for them (ham & egg) and they bought some snacks to go with the sandwiches. My other student 태양, already ate his snacks in my class (cheeseburger & Hershey's milk chocolate drink). 예슬 & 유나, I'm sure they had a great time! Of course, we can't avoid getting too emotional 유나, cried a little. She said she will miss us and maybe after 10 years we'll meet again. What a thoughtful girl even if I'm not her teacher she gave me a nice gift (mechanical pencil and eraser from Korea). My pretty student 예슬 gave me a nice wooden wall decor & she made a letter for me (Christmas stocking design). It's been a great day! Hmm... love is in the air?... Read on...

Hair Accessory

Next week 2 of my students will go back to Korea. So I prepared something for them. It's just a simple remembrance. I found this lovely hair accessories and I think this would be a nice souvenir. The name of the shop (a small stall in Ever mall) is Pink Box. I think its from Korea...ㅋㅋ Because of the characters written below. Well, its the thought that counts! ; )

The Chronicles of Narnia

This is one of my favorite books. I got so hooked on this that I even bought the old video (tv mini-series version). Sad to say, I wasn't able to see the new movie version. I bought the book last year as a birthday gift for myself.^^ It's a little expensive but its worth it. All the stories are bound together not sold separately. Look how thick it is! I think the pocket book style, wherein the stories are sold separately, is a lot more expensive than this one. The writer of this novel was a friend of the writer of the famous Lord of the Rings trilogy. Both books are great! But I prefer this one it has a lighter side.

Food Review: Shakey's Pizza Restaurant

As usual, my friend Cherrie and I went out again. After work we went to Shakey's in Ever Gotesco Mall. The food's great and there's something about Shakey's that keeps us coming back. Their food has a distinct taste. Of course, they use certain herbs and spices to make their dishes stand out. We ordered their combo meal, Pizza, Pasta and Potatoes. I just love mojo potatoes! Really tasty, serve together with their mayo dip. But I prefer mine with lots of catsup (ketchup). Then for our drinks we ordered chocolate shake (with choco sprinkles on top, chocolate syrup, and choco stick on the side). My friend ordered another drink, - soda. The service is just ok. The waiters are not that alert and we waited for a little while. Anyway, I just love the food here!

My Favorite PC Games

My favorite PC games. I like King's Quest the old version. King's Quest 1, it's about Graham who needs to help the King of Daventry recover the lost treasures of the kingdom. I like it because the story is combined with fairy tales. Like in King's Quest II, there is Little Red Riding Hood, also Dracula. Etc. Next game that I like is The Sims, because its like a PC dollhouse game. I can create my own character design my house and control everything! Cool! I think we almost got all the expansion set. Sims vacation, Hot Date (this one is neat! you can set a date for your own Sims.ㅋㅋ) etc. Although I don't play games nowadays. I'm just online most of the time... My brother is the game expert not me ㅋ. I know every PC games because of him (Icewind Dale, Diablo, Starcraft, Warcraft, Counterstrike, SimCity, Myst etc.) And I have a little patience when it comes to playing PC games. If I can't finish the games I leave it to cheatmaster. I just type the codes and I'm done! ㅎㅎㅎ
