In My Screening Room: It's Your 50th Christmas Charlie Brown

Yesterday, I have seen a tv special about Peanuts. I really enjoyed watching it, that I even downloaded it so I can watch it over and over again. It is a must for every Peanuts fan. The special was hosted by Kristen Bell, wearing a cute black dress, that reminds me of Wednesday Addams of the Addams family. he!he!. The special, talks about how the 'A Charlie Brown Christmas' episode came about. Every year this has been a staple Christmas show that every family watches. It has won an award in Emmy in 1966. I like the humor of the late Charles Schulz, when he was handed the trophy in Emmy by fellow animator the late, Bill Melendez, quoting "Charlie Brown is not used to winning, so we thank you."

Lots of guest in this tv special. I really enjoyed all the songs and music played taken from 'A Charlie Brown Christmas' special. David Benoit (American jazz pianist, composer and producer) plays the well-loved 'Linus and Lucy' theme song. It is an original of the late Vince Guaraldi, an American jazz pianist. I like Matthew Morrison's rendition of 'Just Like Me'. Vanessa Williams has a version of this, and I like it also because its a female version that I can sing along. The song is very relatable. This song is about the iconic Charlie Brown Christmas tree (which I dream of having). There's also the popular 'Happiness' song sung by, Kristin Chenoweth. A beautiful rendition of 'Christmas Time is Here', by Sarah McLachlan. All American Boys Choir also performed here. A lot of guests greeted the viewers, like the late Pres.Obama and his wife, plus a few tv actors and actresses. It is also revealed that Fergie (former member of the Black Eyed Peas) used to be the voice for the character Sally. Over 150 children through the years voiced the different characters in Peanuts that we all came to love.

If you have not seen this special, you should! I greet you an advance Happy Christmas everyone!
